Smart tags to be used for inventory management, now that’s smart. But with all good things the bad comes with it. Now that you will have these chips people can have readers that will see exactly what you have, that is if you have access to the inventory lists, unless the rfid chips have exactly what it is and what price it is. What it is I can see but price I don’t think so. Privacy over inventory management. Well they could have a little spot on the way out for people to remove the rfid tags from the clothing or what ever they are buying. but no one is reporting where or how the rfid is being placed in the clothing or is it in the price tag? Also will walmart allow the return of merchandise that doesn’t have the rfid chip still with it? I wonder how they have re-stocking done, will they have little re-programmable chips that the workers will be able to reattach to the cloths? I guess in a month or two I’ll find out.
